Did you know that Okanogan County, like every county in the US, has a veterans affairs representative who helps veterans, and who advocates on how to access services they may have know exist or that they may be qualified to access? This is a free service for all veterans. The local veteran assistance office is located in Tonasket, yet they will come to you where you are located in Winthrop or Pateros. Check out the website Okanogan County Vets for information on how to access services and how to get an advocate to help navigate the complicated VA system.
